Clearwater, FL (AP) - Former Philadelphia Phillies and Florida Marlins catcher Darren Daulton was arrested on a Sumter County warrant accusing him of
missing a court appearance for a suspended driver's license.
Daulton was stopped by Clearwater police for a routine traffic stop. However, after running Daulton's name through a computer, the officers learned
that Daulton was wanted in Sumter County.
Once a warrant was verified, Daulton was arrested at his Clearwater home on Monday and released later that day on $3,050 bond.
Daulton has had a troubled past also being arrested on a domestic battery charge and a drunken driving charge.
Daulton spent the majority of his 14-year career with the Phillies, but received his only World Series ring in 1997 with the Marlins.
