Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes have signed right wing Sheldon Keefe to a one-year contract. As per club policy, financial terms
of the deal were not disclosed.
In 2002-03, Keefe split the season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Springfield of the American Hockey League (AHL). He played in 37 games with the
Lightning, recording two goals and five assists.
Keefe was originally drafted by Tampa Bay (2nd round, 47th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. In three seasons with the Lightning, he played in 125
NHL games, collecting 12 goals and 12 assists.
Last season Keefe, 23, played in 59 games with the Hershey Bears of the AHL.
