PITTSBURGH (AP) -The Pittsburgh Steelers signed free-agent cornerback Shane Walton on Tuesday, less than two weeks after he was released by the St.
Louis Rams.
Walton, a fifth-round pick in 2003, spent all but four weeks of last season on injured reserve with a back injury. He was an All-American at Notre
Dame in 2002, when he made seven interceptions.
The Steelers recently re-signed veteran cornerback Willie Williams to back up starters Chad Scott and Deshea Townsend. They also have Ike Taylor and
Chidi Iwuoma as backups and they drafted Richard Colclough on the second round in April.
