Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies activated lefthander Randy Wolf from the 15-day disabled list and he is scheduled to start Saturday's interleague game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Wolf has been sidelined for more than three weeks with left elbow tendinitis. He last pitched on June 2 against the Mets.

In 10 starts this season, Wolf is 2-3 with a 2.91 earned run average. He has been especially effective over his last seven outings, posting a 2.03 ERA in 48 2/3 innings.

The 27-year-old Wolf began the 2002 season on the disabled list with a similar injury.

Meanwhile, the club optioned reliever Elizardo Ramirez to Double-A Reading.

He looked really good in his first game since the trip to the DL but unfortunately he was on a strict pitch count and didnt get through five innings so he didnt get the win. The bullpen took care of the last four innings though so it's good to see the Wolfman back in form. They dont expect Padilla back until mid-August now.

Well they certainly need him back. He is a big game pitcher for sure.
