This topic has come up several times, I am not sure of teh connection myself but I would hazard a guess that we are infact (in some way at least) the offspring of Intergalactic travellers and Earth Apes.

Atlanteans were simply the predecessors of the Incas, Mayans, etc. and Atlantis is located in the Altiplano of Bolivia...not Mars.

The continent of Atlantis is South America. The capital Atlantis, is the Altiplano.
