Expect to see David Duval in the Open at Royal Troon next month. That was the word from the 2001 champion himself after rounds of 83 and 82 in the US
Open - his first event since November - left him next to last.
"For what I was trying to accomplish I think I did as well as anything I have ever accomplished, so unless something changes I will be at Troon," said
Duval, whose sole intent this week was to enjoy playing in competition again.

Former world number one Duval turned his back on the game after a season in which he made just four halfway cuts in 20 starts on the US Tour. He is
434th in the rankings now, but happier than he has been for a long time.
