EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- The Zen Master is done coaching the Los Angeles Lakers and his two biggest stars could be leaving the team, too.

Phil Jackson, one of the most successful coaches in NBA history, won't return as coach of the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant looked as though they could be playing elsewhere next season.

It appears that this ride is over, time for the Lakers to re-build. They did alright, though, 3 out of 5 championships, plus another finals appearance, better than your average NBA team.

Could jackson sign up with another team?

Also shaq wants a trade badly but where is he going to end up, and if shaq gets traded does that mean kobe will stay?

sure, Phil will probably take a year off, then go somewhere else, I'd say somewhere where there isn't a real big superstar.

Kobe will probably end up staying in LA, but the bigger question is will he be allowed to play?

Is it a big surprise though? And with the players stating they are gonna go and want a trade.

Not a surprise, but newsworthy. A lot of people either love or hate the Lakers. Count me in that second group.

Well yea definatly newsworthy after they got beat in the finals. Also Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant are two of the biggest names in the sport so it will be interesting to see where they end up.

Most of us want to see the Lakers dismantled and in a long period of rebuilding (see Boston), that's why it's newsworthy.
