Liverpool striker Milan Baros has picked up an injury as he was on course for a hat trick during the Czech Republic's win against Estonia, which ended
"Having scored during the Czech's 3-1 win over Bulgaria last week it only took him six minutes today to find the net again when he rounded 'keeper
Martin Kaalma following a pass from midfielder Tomas Rosicky. He scored his second on 22 minutes by reacting the quickest after a shot was deflected
off the crossbar. Unfortunately he was unable to add a third as he took a blow in the 36th minute which forced him out of the game.
Speaking after the match, Czech assistant manager Miroslav Beranek played down suggestions that he could miss Euro 2004. He said: "He got a rough hit
while turning around when he did not expect it, but he should be fine.""
Hopefully he should be fine and finally get to shine at the Euros. He has plenty of ability and is a crowd favourite at Anfield, but Emile Heskey was
always favoured ahead of him so he never got the chance to show what he can do. Hopefully he'll show what he's all about at this tournament and
cement his place in the Liverpool team next season, with stiff competition coming from the imminent arrival of Djibril Cisse.
