Britain's Junior Witter claimed the vacant European light-welterweight title with a second-round stoppage of Salvatore Battaglia in Nottingham.
The pair had been due to meet in April but the Italian withdrew hours before the fight due to gastro-enteritis.
But on Wednesday night Battaglia was totally outclassed by Witter.
Witter put Battaglia down on three separate occasions before the referee called a halt after just one minute 18 seconds of the second round.
Witter needed little more than a minute to drop his opponent with a counter-right and from that point onwards it was just a matter of time.
Battaglia returned to his corner at the bell marked under the right eye but a grinning Witter was quick to step back on the gas once the contest
resumed.
Two more right hooks sent Battaglia sprawling again and there were no complaints from his corner at the stoppage.
