Cornerback Willie Williams is returning to the place where he started his NFL career
after being signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Williams, who spent the last seven years with the Seattle Seahawks, is back at Pittsburgh after leaving
in 1997.
The 33-year-old will compete for the starting right cornerback spot along with Ricardo Colclough - the team's second-round pick in the April draft.
The Steelers waived Dewayne Washington in the off-season.
Williams, originally a seventh-round pick of the Steelers in 1993, had a career-high seven interceptions in 1995.
He signed as a free agent with Seattle in 1997 and started 73 games in his first five seasons but over the last two years he has served as a third
corner and nickel back.
