IBO super middleweight champion Brian Magee looks set to face ex-WBC and WBF champion Robin Reid in Belfast in June.



Promoter Barry Hearn is due to announce details of the fight on Thursday with Magee likely to trade punches with Reid at the 10,000-seater Odyssey arena.

Magee retained his IBO title for the seventh time last month after a tough duel with Nigerian Jerry Elliott.

''It's a fight that we have been trying to get for some time,'' said the Belfast boxer's manager Pat Magee.

The date of the bill is expected to be 19 June and 28-year-old southpaw will be looking to stretch his unbeaten professional record to 22 fights.

The 33-year-old Reid lost an IBF title fight with Sven Ottke on points last year.
