University of Miami running back Jarrett Payton signed with the Tennessee Titans today as an undrafted free agent. Payton, son of NFL great Walter Payton, was over looked this past weekend in the NFL draft.

Payton, the son of late NFL Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton, ran for 985 yards and seven touchdowns in his final season with the Hurricanes. He had a big game against Florida State in the Orange Bowl, running for 131 yards in a 16-14 win.
Is he the heir apparent to Eddie George?

i dunno if calling him the heir is right because If Eddie doesnt reshape his contract he could be out of Tennessee

so maybe replacement?

replacement is better....but wouldnt they have a better RB to replacement Eddie, no offence to jarret but he didnt relaly prove himself in the college ranks
