[color=red]i've heard that the dod is testing the use of antimatter to LESSON the effect of an atomic bomb as a safety messure, but when armed properly, it could increase it's explosive power. [/color]thoughts?

Using antimatter would be very expensive and ineffecient. It takes a lot of time to make sufficient antimatter and you would need a vacuum container and very strong magnetic field to keep the antimatter from reacting with any normal matter.
