The Florida State legislature has passed a resolution to honor WWII veterans in the halftime show at the next Super Bowl. Hoping to use their powers
of persuasion, the State House is calling for a "fitting" tribute to those who fought in the war. Super Bowl XXXIX will be held in Jacksonville on
Feb. 6, 2005.
Florida House members want a different type of halftime show when the Super Bowl comes to Jacksonville next year. This would be a great gesture of
thanks towards our older generation, and help the NFL get over the "breastgate" situation from this year's halftime show. It would also fit the mood
of the USA in the post-911 era. Hopefully the NFL will listen.
