The Miami Herald
Not since the early-to-mid 1980s, when a parade of nondescript fighters laid claim to portions of the crown, has the heavyweight division been such a faceless entity. And while two sanctioning bodies already recognize world champions, the boxing public still craves for an emerging star.

Lennox Lewis retirement in February created a credibility gap in the division. But the void could be reduced during the next three weekends, when all four major sanctioning bodies will hold heavyweight title fights.

The results -- but more importantly the performances -- might produce a legitimate successor to Lewis throne -- a fighter recognized beyond the sports ardent fans.
