Not since the early-to-mid 1980s, when a parade of nondescript fighters laid claim to portions of the crown, has the heavyweight division been such a
faceless entity. And while two sanctioning bodies already recognize world champions, the boxing public still craves for an emerging star.
Lennox Lewis retirement in February created a credibility gap in the division. But the void could be reduced during the next three weekends, when all
four major sanctioning bodies will hold heavyweight title fights.
The results -- but more importantly the performances -- might produce a legitimate successor to Lewis throne -- a fighter recognized beyond the sports
