Monica Seles may return to
action at the French Open in May after 10 months out with a foot injury. Seles played an exhibition match against Martina Navaratilova on Monday but
says she cannot rush her return.
Tim Henman has moved up to eighth in the world rankings after reaching the final of the Pacific Life Open.It is a remarkable turnaround for the
British number one, who had dropped out of the world's top 30 eight months ago.
Serena Williams was given a major boost ahead of her first tournament since last July when she
was made top seed for the Nasdaq-100 Open.Williams, who has not played since winning Wimbledon because of a knee injury, was promoted to the top
seeding above Anastasia Myskina.Her sister Venus, who is ranked 17th in the world, is seeded second. The four highest-ranked players in the world will
miss the Miami event, the unofficial fifth Grand Slam.Kim Clijsters and Amelie Mauresmo are injured, while world number one Justine Henin-Hardenne and
Lindsay Davenport did not include the tournament in their schedules.
