Vitali Klitschko, left hanging when Lennox Lewis retired as heavyweight champion without giving him a rematch, will get another title shot anyway.
Klitschko, the No. 1 contender, meets Lewis protégé Corrie Sanders for the vacant title April 24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be
just the second heavyweight title fight in Los Angeles in 45 years, with Klitschko a participant in both.
Klitschko, 32, gave Lewis all he could handle in a six-round brawl last June that ended because of cuts over Klitschko's eye. Then Klitschko beat Kirk
Johnson in December to earn another title shot, but Lewis retired.
