The Spanish Football Federation have announced that this weekend's Primera Liga programme is set to go ahead as scheduled, despite Thursday's bomb attacks in Madrid. The attacks have been called the worst in Spain's history.Officials said that halting the matches would essentially mean they were succumbing to the fear that the terrorists had hoped to instill.

The Spanish government called for three days of national mourning after almost 200 people were killed in a bombing attack on commuter trains during rush-hour travel. Approximately 1,400 other were additionally wounded in the incident. Ten backpack bombs detonated within 15 minutes of each other along a bustling nine-mile line.Out of respect for the victims and their families, some clubs wanted to postpone this weekend's matches. While the games will be played as scheduled, officials said the usual pre-match entertainment will be canceled in addition to employing tighter security measure at the stadiums
