Bolton chairman Phil Gartside has lashed out at Carsten Jancker for going back on an agreement to join the Carling Cup finalists.The giant German striker was expected to become the latest addition to Sam Allardyce's multi-national squad after Bolton agreed a deal with the player's agent and club Udinese.

Initially Jancker was supposed to be flying in to England on Saturday but that plan was scuppered when the 29-year-old was told to report for duty ahead of the Serie A encounter with Modena, in which he eventually did not play.Jancker did not show up on Sunday and then, when he eventually arrived at the Reebok Stadium on Monday, he demanded a two-year contract.
