Rick Majerus,Utah Basketball coach has decided to resign after the season after being hospitalized with heart problems.

"He's stepping down, definitely, at the end of the season," Utah spokesman Mike Lageschulte told The Associated Press. "If he's doing better and can come back he will, but right now he definitely won't coach beyond this year."

Assistant coach Kerry Rupp will take over coaching duties in the interim for Utah (15-5), which lost its last two games.

how has his performace with utah been?

He's done very good. This year he is 14-4 with a tough schedule, he's made it to the Sweet 16 once, and has beaten a one-seed Arizona in '97 I think (as a 9-seed)
