James Toney is on course to fight again in summer 2004 following an Achilles tendon operation.Toney, ranked eighth in the IBF's world heavyweight
standings, sustained an injury to his left heel while training for a February bout with Jameel McCline. He underwent an operation in late January.
Tipped to fill the vacancy Lennox Lewis left at the top of the game, some feared the injury would put paid to 35-year old Toney's career.Now the
former middleweight, super-middleweight and cruiserweight champion is on course for a summer comeback.
