The team that gave Dale Earnhardt six of his seven Winston Cup championships is to give his eldest son Kerry Earnhardt a chance to prove himself in Nascar top stock car series.

Richard Childress Racing will give Earnhardt a black no 33 Chevrolet to drive in a limited number of Nextel Cup races and help in the testing and development of new cars.Kerry is the stepbrother of current Nascar star Dale Jr.His first drive should be the event at Talladega Superspeedway.
