Juninho scored the only goal as Middlesborough win the first leg in the carling cup 1-0.Middlesborough will be confident of finishing the job off next Wednesday when they host Arsenal in the second leg and booking their trip to the final in Cardiff.

Juninho drove a low shot past Graham Stack in the Arsenal goal after he had been set up by Gaizka Mendieta just after the break. The Gunners fielded a youthful side but they offered little in return,they tried in the second half but Boro held on to give Arsenal their first domestic loss in 30 matches this season.
