Prices have gone up in the wake of the euro, according to European consumer organisations, adding to the evidence that manufacturers and retail agents took advantage of the euro change-over to raise prices beyond inflation and normal price adjustment.

Don't those idiots in the commercial industries realize that, by inflating prices, they're just going to send their customers to other, cheaper stores?

They're pricing themselves out of business...Is that greed or what?

Here in the US, I can always find alternative stores that sell stuff on discount; Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Big Lots, etc. They may not always have what I'm looking for at the time, but they still let me save some money by picking up the "generic brands"...I never have liked the way that the name-brand stuff always tries to make me pay extra just for having a certain name on the package.
