For Arturo Gatti, there is life after Micky Ward. That life, however, will always include Ward.
 

"They'll forever be linked by the unforgettable trilogy they waged between May 2002 and June 2003, with fights I and III named fight of the year by USA TODAY and Ring magazine. Now, after 30 rounds of sheer drama, blood and guts, Ward is retired and Gatti is moving on to face Gianluca Branco of Italy for a vacant junior welterweight title Jan. 24 in Atlantic City (HBO)."
