When it comes to the New York Mets and Vladimir Guerrero, the news just keeps getting worse.
First, the right fielder chose the Anaheim Angels over the Mets. Now, the Players Association may file a grievance regarding the team's conduct during
Guerrero's medical evaluation, the New York Post reported Friday.
According to the paper, the Players Association is questioning whether the Mets reviewed Guerrero's medical records during the team's negotiations for
the slugger, which would be a violation of the collective bargaining agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, teams are not allowed to share
medical records without a player's consent, unless it is a trade situation, which free agency is not.
