The Sunnis in power in Saudi-Arabia are very critical of the Saddam execution especially its timing.

Their anger is directed at Shiites which they blame for it. Saudi-Arabia has not been overly critical of the Iraq war and been an ally of the US in the war on terror. Now, they may see it as necessary to invade Iran in order to stem the rise of Shiite power in the middle-east as they see them gain foothold in Iraq.

Saudi backing of an Iran war would be important, since then the Iranians would be surrounded by allies in Iraq, NATO in Afghanistan and Saudis to their immediate South, not to mention strong US naval presence in the Gulf.
