I think as Iran gains more power, most of the Middle East (as most are Sunnis) would support a war against Iran to take them down a few notches. Or at least a bombing of their nuclear sites.

Saudi Arabia has not been openly critical but they have voiced many times US stance when it comes to Israel.

Also Cheney was told by the Saudis that if US leaves Iraq and sunnis start dying
they will support them financialy and will tell other sunni nation to do the same.

Occurs all this is done behind closed doors.

I can not the US doing anything major in the Middle East with out the backing of the Saudis. Just look at the close links between the Bush Family and the House of Saud

Reading House of Bush House of Saud by Craig Unger was an eye opener and the influence of the house of Saud extends certainly to the UK as well.

With the close links, the US would not have launched the invasion of Iraq with out the closest support of the Saudis, and no US administration will invade Iran without approval of the Saudis.

They have much to gain from an invasion of Iran. Even more control in the region and more influence of the current Bush adminstration.
