Muammar Gaddafi has rejected attempts to release 6 medics held in Libya under the charge of infecting 400 children with the HIV/AIDs virus.

Five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor have been tried and found guilty twice, and are subsequently sentenced to death. Academic bodies, such as the man whom co-discovered the HIV virus, have claimed that the evidence used in prosecution counters the scientific evidence.

news.bbc.co.uk...

This is one of the first major rejections Gaddafi has made towards western intervention in some time, and it is quite the horrible crime if he is infact correct in his judgement.
