Sinn Fein have agreed to take part in a police conference in January. This will no doubt come as a shock to Ian Paisley, who saw such a move as the last thing Jerry Adams party would do.

Not all that sensational, but this regarding of the RUC as an actual power is quite a move for Sinn Fein.
