A Russian passenger plane bound for Geneva was hijacked on Thursday but it made an emergency landing in Prague and the hijacker was "pacified", a Czech police spokesman said.

Reauters

Seems the hijack attemt was foiled,

Be interesting to see who and why,

It seems like there was a passenger being drunk and going crazy. He said he had a bomb, but I don't think he had any. He was travelling with his family. He spoke Russian.

Why did they choose to make en emergency landing in Prague and not somewhere else? Maybe they have some good anti terror measures there at the moment? And "scaremongering" carries up to five years in prison there...

Most countries have a designated airport for the landing of hi-jacked planes. In the UK it is Stanstead. Maybe this hi-jacking took place in Czech airspace.

Interesting. Do you have a list or link to other such airports? Such as, the ones in the US?
