Barack Obama for U.S. President in 2008?

Don't really know much about the man really. The only time I have seen Barack is on CNN or Fox News, and only good things were said about him; that's enough to give me cause for pause. Still I would like to know more before forming an opinion.

I couldn't help noticing that this thread has been stagnating for a couple of days, and I thought it might help if you checked out the candidate advocacy forum. US Politics had an active thread on Obama earlier that was moved there.
