Before there were points...the primary "incentive" to post was of course to share in the interchange of knowledge of conspiracy subjects...


Posting earns you points. (not an excuse to spam, posting just for points is a quick way to banville)
Others' Replies to your posts earn you points. (see above)
Really good posts may lead to one or mods or FSMEs giving you an Applaud! (and points)
Other members may vote you for the Way Above award (gives points).

You can use points in the ATS store to customize your profile, access other forums, chat, get more U2U and image room, etc. Nope, can't transfer points to other members.

We'd like to think that the original "incentive" however, still holds true...that of sharing knowledge and participating in the discussion.

It's worth noting that those points you see do more than provide incentives to their individual holders. They can be thought of as some sort of barometer. Them that gots lots of points can be thought of as more than frequent posters. WATS & Applause should be regarded as validation by the ATS community.
