Disturbing reading, and utterly disgraceful actions by the Police and the then government.

164 altered documents and 41 people who could have survived had the police and ambulance services done their jobs...

3:15pm cut off....

Some staggering and heartbreaking numbers.

59 who still had working brains and lungs after the 3:15 "cut off time".

Of 164 Police Statements taken, 116 altered / doctored. Police tried to pass false info onto news agencies, including that fans looked at the exposed breasts of a dead girl and shouted at the Police "pass her here, we will # her". So angry, i honestly do not know what to write.

Ok yeah cheers, just going through it all too... probably have numbers jumbled.

Very frustrating and upsetting.

It's not like we haven't known all along that this was the case, I'm actually amazed that this has come out.... I was so nervous thinking that the truth wouldn't come out and that nothing would be said... but this is at least a start... a beginning of the end hopefully.

The documents disclosed to the panel show that the origin of these serious allegations was a local Sheffield press agency informed by several SYP officers, an SYP Police Federation spokesperson and a local MP.

"They also demonstrate how the SYP Police Federation, supported informally by the SYP chief constable, sought to develop and publicise a version of events that focused on several police officers' allegations of drunkenness, ticketlessness and violence among a large number of Liverpool fans. This extended beyond the media to Parliament.

"Yet, from the mass of documents, television and CCTV coverage disclosed to the panel there is no evidence to support these allegations other than a few isolated examples of aggressive or verbally abusive behaviour clearly reflecting frustration and desperation

When you read something like that, words fail you.

Disgraceful.

Interesting thread here specifically about todays revelations;
www.abovetopsecret.com...

The fact that no-one has ever been held legally accountable for the deaths of 96 people is in itself a crime.

That was the whole point of the 3:15pm cut off point at the inquest, when the coroner ruled that all those who died had no chance of surviving or were already dead at that point.

The fact he was employed by Sheffield City Council who had not enforced safety rules at the ground is of course mere coincidence...

Whilst not a Liverpool supporter I observe with sadness the seasons unfurling for the once mighty club.

The new manger is really improving the quality of Liverpools game

What a lot of bollocks this pathetic club is American owned sell your soul for Yankee dollars.

Brendan Roggers is sure going to bring suckcess to Anfield.

So very velly funny.

Go the "Reds".
Straight into the championship.
But oP great thread.

Great one line personal attack I will let it slide.
On a more real note it seems Swansea have thumped Liverpool 3 :1 in the League cup...that must hurt.
Oh well time will tell if Rodgers will help or hinder Liverpool reach even the knees of Manchester United the way they are going they may not even reach the shoulders of Everon.
Good luck to you and your team.

Heads up

Obvious troll is obvious.

This thread is called "The Liverpool FC thread" for a reason - its a place for ATS members who support Liverpool FC to come and talk about their club.

And while ATS is a discussion forum, that certainly does not extend to outright trolling.

Posts designed solely for the purpose of trolling by wind up merchants will be removed.

First and only warning.

It is good to see Liverpool buy Sturridge, a fine English talent who will fit into Rodgers system..

They still need another creative midfielder and a good speedy left fullback. .

Things looking up for the poos.
