Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Thimothee Atouba has been given more time by The Football Association to answer a charge of violent conduct. The Cameroon international was charged by The FA on Monday after allegedly making contact with Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton during Spurs' 2-1 win at White Hart Lane over the weekend. Barton needed stitches above his right eye after the former Basel player appeared to strike out at the City player.
