Tottenham Hotspur are struggling to find enough fit left-sided players for Saturday's clash with Bolton Wanderers.

Thimothee Atouba suffered a knee injury in the 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth, while Erik Edman is still sidelined by a head injury and Mauricio Taricco is suspended.

The situation has left manager Jacques Santini puzzling about how best to re-jig his remaining resources.

"We have two bits of bad news - Edman with his head and Atouba's knee. These two players are out of the game on Saturday," Santini told the club's official website.

"Atouba has an injury to the lateral ligament in his knee and we'll know more after four or five days. I hope it will be less time out but today I don't know.

"Atouba would have been an option for Edman and Taricco is suspended.

"We have a training session tomorrow morning and after that we will decide who will start on Saturday."
