Sir Alex pick up another award the other day.. the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2005 HMV Football Extravaganza dinner in London, he must have quite a collection by now. I wonder when he decides he has had enough, he is on a rolling contract after this season and the board said he isn't unsackable.

Another bit of good news is that the fans seem to have taken to Gabriel Heinze, didn't Fergie say he would send him back when he first joined? It was something to do with the Olympics and him playing that delayed his debut. What a mistake that would have been as he has become a cult figure at Old Trafford.

Also it looks like Rooney has got away with his recent assault charge, the student who made the claims has dropped all allegations against him. The police said: "We were informed that the complainant did not want to pursue the allegation." To make such a claim as that and then drop it doesn't seem right, someone put the squeeze on him?

Here's something from skysports....

Manchester United are fighting PSV Eindhoven for American international Eddie Johnson. Johnson is one of the hottest prospects in the US and has been trailed by United since he was just 17 - he turns 21 on Thursday. In 2001 United were keen on securing his signature but Johnson was more than happy to continue his career in America - where he has flourished with FC Dallas - formerly Dallas Burn. Now United have firmed up their interest again and that resulted in Johnson spending two weeks training at Carrington earlier this month.

Heinze has been one of Fergies best signings in recent times for sure. He looks solid in defence and can get forward.
