Manchester United: W Smith - rooney the best

Scotland manager Walter Smith has sung the praises of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

Smith worked with the teenager at Goodison Park and is pleased to witness the England star's progress at the club where he spent the end of last season as assistant manager to Sir Alex Ferguson.

As Rooney prepares to return to Everton in the FA Cup fifth round, he has received a glowing accolade from the former Toffees manager.
