Manchester United: Ferguson blocks Forlan move

Sir Alex Ferguson insists Diego Forlan will not be leaving Old Trafford because of injuries to Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Van Nistelrooy faces hernia surgery on Tuesday and Solskjaer had an operation on his troublesome knee on Saturday.

And the absence of two key players has forced the Manchester United boss to scrap plans to offload the Uruguay international.
