Manchester United: Ferdinand Banned!

UEFA have backed the eight-month ban given to Rio Ferdinand for missing a drugs test.

In European competition such as the Champions League or European Championships, a similar offence would carry a minimum ban of six months up to a maximum of two years.

I think its a disgrace they FA and all of them have a lot to answer for.It looks like Rio Ferdinand is determined to ignore worldwide opinion and press ahead with his appeal against an eight-month drugs ban setting Manchester United and the Football Association on a collision course which could end in the High Court.

Well i think it was a bit harsh and if they go to the high court there is talks of banning Man U from the champions league..I think that the FA ballsed up and are now trying to save face by sticking to their guns..
