Shaun Wright-Phillips will start his rehabilitation programme later this week after successfully coming through an operation to repair his torn cartilage. The 23-year-old England international suffered the injury during Manchester City's 3-2 win at Norwich last week and the initial diagnosis was that he would be out of action for up to eight weeks.

Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is set to return to action this weekend. The flying winger has been out of action for over a month after undergoing knee surgery. The England international is back in training after making a quicker than expected recovery and City caretaker boss Stuart Pearce is ready to include him in his side to face Fulham on Saturday.
