Liverpool: Anfield ace gets new deal

Liverpool midfielder John Welsh has signed a new contract with the club. The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes during the Merseysiders' FA Cup third round defeat at Burnley in midweek. However, he has finished the week on a high after penning a new two-and-a-half year contract at Anfield. The England Under-21 international has clearly done much to impress Reds boss Rafa Benitez.

i aint seen him play before but the contract of 2 years will give him time to get a chance in the team. hes 21 so it aint like hes too young to make the breakthrough.
