it looks like they want him to stay there

dwin van der Sar's agent has confirmed that contract talks are ongoing with Fulham.

Van der Sar had been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United both said to be keen.

However, it now seems the West London outfit have persuaded the Dutch international to extend his stay with them.

The player's representative Rob Jansen admitted that talks were taking place.

Hmm i heard that he had signed a new one year extension, or are they just close to signing a deal. Maybe Arsenal could swoop in and buy him
it would be much better then having Almunia or Lemon

Primera outfit Levante are understood to have tabled an offer for Fulham goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar. The Spaniards have been busy scouring the European market for possible recruits during the transfer window. It was thought a striker was their priority, with a host of names including Giovane Elber and Gerald Sibon having been linked with a switch to the Valencia-based club.

However, coach Bernd Schuster is keen to bring in another goalkeeper to contest the number one jersey with Juan Mora, and was alerted by the fact that van der Sar has still to sign his new contract at Fulham.

Edwin van der Sar has put pen-to-paper on his contract extension at Fulham. The Dutch international has been in talks for the last week over a proposed two-year deal, which he has now agreed. A number of clubs had shown an interest in the former Juventus star, including Spanish side Levante just in the last few days. However, van der Sar has finally ended all speculation regarding his future.
