David Weir would be happy to sign a new one-year deal in order to help Everton achieve more success next season. The 35-year-old defender had been offered the chance to join Leeds but is determined to stay at Everton, who have qualified for the Champions League.

i dunno, at 35 he aint a spring chicken, how did he cut it last season? he might be found out in Europe now

when he was at hearts, he was a good player for them. i think at his age, maybe getting even a extra year is good going. and since you are saying hes pretty solid, i cant see him asking for much and i reckon he will stay. he will watn to be part of Everton in Europe
