Everton manager David Moyes feels James Beattie has nothing to prove to Southampton's supporters.

The new Toffees striker returns to St Mary's for the first time since his £6 million move to Goodison in the live Sky Sports clash on Sunday.

Beattie will lead the line for the visitors as they seek to continue their push for a place in next season's UEFA Champions League and push Saints a little closer to the relegation trapdoor.

backing the player will give him confidence.

beattie suited the saints, and his style is getting in the headers etc rather than ball to feet. everton have a habit of signing big guys though, kevin kambell, duncan donoughts

Yeah...

I don't rate him too highly but he isn't a bad target man.
