According to sources at Chelsea he didnt report back for pre-season training. He wont be joining them on their tour of the USA and will certainly face disciplinary action. He was given extra time off due to his involvement in the World Cup...

seems that way, and they lose a polished performer, any position.
OK he's a tads petulant, but I don't know another premiership player who isn't. It'll be a shame if he leaves

He pretty much said as much in may that he would be looking for a new challenge, whatever thats supposed to mean. Isnt being successful and staying at the top a challenge!!
