Charlton Athletic are edging nearer to a deal for Nottingham Forest winger Andy Reid.
The Republic of Ireland international is one of the most coveted players outside The Premiership and has been a long-term target for Charlton.
The Addicks' London rivals Tottenham have repeatedly had bids for the 22-year-old rejected by reluctant sellers Forest.
Reid has been informed by the Championship outfit that he will not be leaving The City Ground for less than £5 million.
No club has yet met Forest's valuation but reports are now suggesting that Charlton could be ready to match the asking price.
