big sam admits he came really close to signing kluivert for bolton


Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has revealed he was close to luring Patrick Kluivert to the club before he went to Newcastle United.

Allardyce will come up against Kluivert on Sunday when Newcastle come to The Reebok and could find out what he missed out on.

i think bolton are starting to attract bigger players every season, its like a club you go to and big sam gets your career back on track if you havent progressed much

Bit like Harry Redknapp at Pompey and West Ham.

Bolton have assembled a side that will do ok every season but they lack a bit in talent to stay a top ten side every season...

i think rynaldo's right tho, they are starting to attract better players. i think in time they'll build a strong squad that will compete with the top 5 clubs. it's just a matter of time. i think while some squads seem to be falling, bolton is definitely rising.
