Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is eyeing a swoop for John Carew on loan, but has not given up hope of landing Newcastle United's Craig Bellamy.

The Ewood Park manager is keen to bolster his strike force before the transfer window closes and is a big admirer of Besiktas' Norway international hit-man.

Carew had been linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona, while his agent Per A. Flod has stated his client would only come to England if it were a big club.

First it was Newcastle being linked with eveyone, nows it Blackburn. I can't see him going there, Blackburn are no way good enough...

i think barca signed a striker. so they wont want him now hehe. he would ask for a big wage and am sure better teams would be interested in him other than blackburn.
