Blackburn Rovers are aiming to strike a deal for Croatia international Tomislav Sokota.
The Benfica forward has caught the eye of Rovers boss Mark Hughes, who is aiming to complete a 1 million swoop for the 27-year-old.
Sokota is out of contract with Benfica at the end of the season and Hughes is aiming to tempt the Portuguese giants with a financial sweetener to
facilitate the signing now, rather than in the summer.
Hughes has already been busy in the transfer market since the window reopened and he is now hoping to seal his move for Sokota.
The forward's agent Zoran Stojadinovic has confirmed Blackburn's interest in Sokota but is waiting for the clubs to reach an accord.
