There seems to be a few of the US players making there way over to the UK.I think as they usually go for a small transfer fee they are good acquistions to get and some of them are pretty decent players.

Blackburn are confident they have persuaded Brian McBride to sign for them next week but have been concerned by reports that Fulham are also interested inthe USA striker.

The club have agreed a fee, understood to be around 600,000 with the USA's Major League Soccer, and have had a positive response from McBride's representatives about personal terms.Unless Fulham launched a concerted effort to hijack the deal then McBride should become a Rovers player next week.

No McBride for Rovers, but we did sign former England international Michael Gray from Sunderland on a free. We simply took over his contract.

A left sided player, which we desperately need. Can play wing, or left back which would allow Gresko to play the left wing.

Gray is a good signing he is a solid enough player.

What happened to him getting in the England squad?

Was it due to Sunderlands poor form and relegation?

Gray had a loss of form along with the whole Sunderland side,I can't see him getting in the England squad again as there is too many good players about now.He will do well for Blackburn though.

Things don't look good as Graeme Souness admits he is struggling through his most difficult season in his managerial career.Souness's Blackburn side sit just four points clear of the Premiership drop zone and the Scot knows it is imperative to pick up three points against Southampton at Ewood Park.

Good news for Blackburn, who inflicted a 1-0 defeat on fellow relegation-battlers Leicester thanks to a first-half own-goal from Foxes defender Nikos Dabizas.

Graeme Souness has revealed how Henrik Larsson turned down a move to Blackburn - because of the weather. Seven years in Glasgow with Celtic have apparently left the Swedish hitman craving a move to a hot climate.

Larsson, who lifted the Scottish Cup with Celtic on Saturday, has still to decide where he will play next season.
